About Ron Mlicki
As a young artist I was captivated by artists who painted the human form. Through the years, my passion or, maybe more simply, my enjoyment for drawing and painting people individually or in their surroundings never wavered.
It was never only about structure and form. Capturing a person's mood, the subtlety of a hand gesture, the attitude of the body, the clothes that gave insight to their unique personality or mood.
Award-winning Columbus Artist Ron Mlicki graduated from Cooper School of Art in Cleveland, Ohio, and received a bachelor's degree in business from The Ohio State University. Shortly thereafter, Mlicki built, a thriving commercial design practice where he and his team developed advertising campaigns for clients locally, nationally, and globally. Upon selling his business, he returned to his first love--drawing and painting people. He rekindled his passion by studying with noted painters Jason Clary and Charles Hall and nationally noted Burton Silverman. Ron's work is held in private collections and has been featured in the Butler Institute of American Art National Mid-Year Annual Juried Show and numerous other juried venues an awards.
